About the project
As one component of the larger development of the Ravenswood Gold Mine upgrade, a tailings storage facility was required. Pensar was engaged for stage one of the tailings storage facility works.

Challenges
- Providing solutions to local mobilisation constraints due to delivery of the tailings storage facility being only one component of the larger development
- The Pensar project team provided Ravenswood Gold with an additional skill base, enabling assistance in managing externally provided components relating to the tailings storage facility project. This allowed Ravenswood Gold personnel to focus on components of the larger development delivery
Achievements
- Pensar continues to meet Ravenswood Gold’s program fixed end date, despite challenges with service relocation and external approval constraints experienced at the commencement of the project
- The project team successfully proposed an innovative redesign solution of the northern discharge bund which mitigated costly working at heights constraints for the future stages of the tailings storage facility development
