About the project

The two stage project involved the Stage 1 completion of the new bus interchange structure and pavement works along with temporary bus terminal for use during the Commonwealth Games.

Stage 2 involved the removal of the temporary bus terminal, reconfiguration of the car park and finalisation of the structures and building.

Innovations & Highlights

Revolutionary 3D scanning process used for steel fabrication of ‘as built’ pile cap locations.

The process identified issues with the position of new roof structures as opposed to the existing roof alignment. Use of the scanning technology helped to identify this prior to fabrication.
