Days and Williamson Road Traffic Signal Upgrade
About the project
As part of the current upgrades to Gold Coast roadways, Pensar was engaged in the upgrade of the Days and Williamson Roads’ traffic signals in Upper Coomera. The works facilitated a reduction in traffic congestion through the intersection and in front of the school.

Project Scope
- Construction of a new signalised intersection
- Installation of the electrical, ITS and CCTV
- Construction of associated civil works including new island construction, kerb install, asphalt overlay and line marking
Challenges
- Pensar were able to find solutions to complete the supplied design
- A major freight company was located nearby with delivery vehicles operating 24 hours, contributing to a high volume of traffic
- The project team were required to work within reduced on site hours due to school pick up and drop off times
Achievements
- Pensar worked in collaboration with the City of Gold Coast in the completion of this project. Due to the success of this ongoing relationship, these works were one of many packages completed for the City of Gold Coast
- The project was completed on time and within budget, with zero safety incidents and community complaints
