Under this panel arrangement with Brisbane City Council, Pensar has completed more than 150 minor works jobs to repair or replace damaged traffic signal assets.

Project Scope
- Recovery of existing poles, lantern and footings
- Excavation and installation of new footings
- Installation of ped posts, joint use and mast arm poles
- Supply, installation and removal of temporary signal posts
- Provision of all traffic control, including police supervision
- Civil works including replacement of pits, asphalting works and footpath repair
- All electrical and operations testing
Challenges
- Most works were undertaken at night under live traffic conditions
- Very little time was available for planning and staging
- Our teams had minimal access to council staff out of hours, and had to resolve issues on the spot
- Ensuring new components interfaced and functioned with older existing technology
- Working with and around asbestos-based infrastructure -conduits and pits
- Working at heights and in confined spaces
Achievements
- Responded to more than 95% of RFTs
- Established strong relationships and coordination processes with BCC crews and inspectors to minimise completion times
- No major defects recorded on completed jobs
- No safety incidents across more than 150 jobs
- Completed a road crossing in less than 24 hours
- Completed road crossing of high-traffic, Logan Road in only 3 days with minimal disruption
- Zero environmental or public safety incidents
- The original contract was extended by Brisbane City Council
