Project scope

  • Civil earthworks

Challenges

  • Programming the project in accordance with the seasonal shutdown period
  • Achieving a compressed construction time frame
  • Combining the Structural, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, and Process disciplines and delivering them in one cohesive design package

Achievements

  • Pensar provided a comprehensive D&C package encompassing Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Process, Electrical, Instrumentation and SCADA Integration disciplines
  • Pensar were conscious of utilising and leveraging the local economy, through the use of local labour
  • Operated successfully within council timeframes
  • In addition to self-performing the concrete structures, Pensar completed the electrical design, certification and installation in-house
  • During the design phase Pensar developed a 3D Navisworks Model to explain and deliver the design to the relevant designers, subcontractors and the client
  • No notifiable safety incidents or community issues
