Project Scope
- Civil earthworks
- Stormwater drainage
- All interconnecting pipework
- Design and construction of a 5ML concrete clear water storage tank & 10m high PAC tank
- Bespoke 4 way sloping roof support structure and 10m high multi access tower
- Installation of safe access facilities
- All valves and ancillary equipment necessary for safe operation and isolation
- Chemical dosing pipework
- Instrumentation, cabling, cable supports and conduits
- General power and lighting
Challenges
- Programming the project in accordance with the seasonal shutdown period
- Achieving a compressed construction time frame
- Combining the Structural, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, and Process disciplines and delivering them in one cohesive design package
Achievements
- Pensar provided a comprehensive D&C package encompassing Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Process, Electrical, Instrumentation and SCADA Integration disciplines
- Pensar were conscious of utilising and leveraging the local economy, through the use of local labour
- Operated successfully within council timeframes
- In addition to self-performing the concrete structures, Pensar completed the electrical design, certification and installation in-house
- During the design phase Pensar developed a 3D Navisworks Model to explain and deliver the design to the relevant designers, subcontractors and the client
- No notifiable safety incidents or community issues
