About the project
Pensar was engaged to renew Stanmores 25-year asset service life through tank replacement, reducing rate of pipe scaling and corrosion by returning the aeration system to service, regaining operability of existing valving, enabling process flow to bypass tank so that tank maintenance does not stop supply.

Challenges
- Successfully keeping the pump station online throughout the works duration via heavy staging and pre-planning
- Cutting into asbestos pipework with unknown conditions during strict 8-hour shutdowns
- Accurate logistics management and clear communication was undertaken to ensure our teams had the correct materials on site when required due to this project's rural location.
Achievements
- Positive and seamless stakeholder management
- All shutdowns adhered to the strict 8-hour shutdown window whilst successfully installing critical pipework on major sections of the pipeline
- Maintained existing hydraulic intent of pump station throughout works duration through effective staging.
