In celebration of National Recycling Week 2022, Pensar’s Sustainability Committee delivered environmentally inspired initiatives in their continued drive of encouraging conscious actions across the company. An abundance of litter was collected and sorted into recycling groups for disposal as a result of a plogging expedition, hosted around two of our Gold Coast project sites. All participants on the day were awarded for their efforts with a dual branded Pensar Sustainability Committee and Project Pargo water bottle.
The committee launched a ‘Recycling Survey’ to better understand our teams’ work and home recycling needs to ensure they successfully grow Pensar’s recycling program and further educate our people with the continually evolving recycling options. We were also educated on what is known as wishcycling and how to best sort recycling, ensuring that reusable material doesn’t end up in landfill.
After heading out with Ocean Crusaders earlier in the year to assist in cleaning up local waterways, a Pensar sponsored boat will be heading out mid December. A call went out seeking volunteers and with an overwhelming response. A team of our people from across the company was quickly filled. In further support of Ocean Crusaders, all funds received via Pensar’s Containers for Change recycling program are donated to this incredibly worthwhile cause.
