An exciting addition to our Power offering is our ability to complete all aspects of high voltage works in-house, from design, construction and commissioning, through to the ongoing maintenance of systems.  Experienced in the trusted delivery of critical infrastructure, we see the advantages in working in partnership with our clients and offering an end to end service. We are experienced in the shutdown and power up of critical infrastructure assets, ensuring zero unplanned interruptions to operations. Distribution Centre HV Installation – Brisbane, Queensland

Modcol contracted Pensar for the installation and commissioning of the HV switchgear at a new distribution centre in Brisbane, Queensland.  Originally the design and procurement of this project wasn’t part of Pensar’s scope but due to challenges with the existing design and delay in the equipment being supplied, Pensar assisted in the completion of the design and provided resources to accelerate the delivery of the switchboards to ensure there was no interruption in the delivery of the project.  The scope of works included the inspection, installation and testing of the new HV equipment, working closely with Energex and the client to commission it without delay.

Woongarra Pump Station – Bundaberg, Queensland

Pensar was engaged by Sunwater for the upgrade of the Woongarra Pump Station’s electrical systems ensuring that the new technology seamlessly integrated with the existing pumps, motors and ancillary equipment.  The scope of works included the supply and installation of a HV switchboard, LV MCC, PLC and SCADA systems. Pensar worked collaboratively with Sunwater and Ergon to achieve a complete HV design within a tight timeframe, requiring investigation of the existing electrical infrastructure.  The project was completed defect free and included the successful shutdown and power up of the pump station which supplies water to the region’s farmers.

Westfield Coomera HV Installation – Coomera, Queensland

Pensar was engaged by Stowe Australia to complete the HV works for the new Westfield Shopping Centre at Coomera.  To power the new centre, Pensar was required to complete the internal high voltage design, earthing, cabling, terminations, testing and commissioning. The works included 7km of HV cables running from the Energex zone substation through both existing and newly installed conduit and pit systems. This involved crossing the M1 motorway and several school gates, working in challenging conditions around high pressure gas, live electrics, traffic and the installation of 17 HV joints around the live services. Pensar successfully delivered a high quality, zero defects system with commissioning completed on time.

North Pine WTP HV Upgrade – Brisbane, Queensland

Pensar is currently upgrading the North Pine Water Treatment Plant’s HV infrastructure, due for completion this July and involving the design, supply, installation and commissioning of new HV and LV switchrooms.  The plant has remained fully operational throughout the delivery, with the upgrade works taking place around existing Energex and private HV equipment. The scope of work includes the relocation of the existing equipment to accommodate the new switchrooms, PLC and SCADA upgrades to allow remote switching, and the testing and commissioning of the entire plant with stage cutovers to prevent the loss of supply.
