Developing the next generation of infrastructure leaders

Pensar has partnered with Constructionarium Australia to work with future industry leaders, delivering a hand-on experience that will assist in their growth and development.

Constructionarium Australia was established in 2016 and builds upon a successful concept, originally established in the UK – UK Constructionarium.

The initiative is designed to develop the next generation of construction professionals through classroom training and practical onsite experience, as they construct a 25m replica of Brisbane’s Story Bridge.

Pensar’s Director of Civil Infrastructure, Reese Deaves, outlined the importance of investing in the future.

“We are excited about teaming with Constructionarium Australia to work with the future leaders of our industry to deliver a hands-on experience that will assist in their growth and development. With the next Story Bridge Build fast approaching, Pensar is honoured to support this great initiative and be part of developing our next generation of construction professionals.“

The program is designed for undergraduates, postgraduates and early-stage professionals, giving them the to opportunity to plan, tender, build and handover a large-scale project. Reese is passionate about the program because he believes understanding best practice from the outset will set young people up for a successful career and benefit the wider industry.

“The Constructionarium program equips our graduates and young engineers with a full overview of the approach to a project, giving them better grounding and understanding of how all sections from tendering and planning through to construction and operation are key deliverables and necessary for successful outcomes.”

The build will take place at the Construction Training Centre in Salisbury from 27 November to 6 December; interested participants can apply at Constructionarium Australia.
