Amy Quinn is a civil and environmental engineer at Pensar with a passion for problem-solving, creativity, and sustainability. Before transitioning into engineering, Amy worked as a receptionist and swim instructor while completing a Bachelor of Engineering, majoring in both civil and environmental engineering. This dual major was a strategic choice, allowing Amy to explore opportunities in both structural engineering and environmental consulting.
Amy joined Pensar after discovering an opportunity that aligned with her interest in infrastructure projects, sustainability and community-driven work. Commencing as an undergraduate engineer, she quickly progressed to a full-time graduate engineer role, taking every opportunity to gain hands-on experience and broaden her skill set. With the support of mentors and a strong learning culture at Pensar, Amy has grown both technically and professionally. Amy was recently honoured with the Emerging Talent Award at Pensar’s 2024 Excellence Awards, recognising her innovation, leadership, and outstanding contributions to shaping an impactful future at Pensar.
Some of Amy’s key career highlights to date include the delivery of the Weinham Creek Boat Ramp Extension and the Morisset Reservoir Renewal, where complex problem-solving and teamwork were crucial in delivering successful outcomes for the projects. These experiences have reinforced Amy’s belief that the infrastructure industry offers endless opportunities for learning and specialisation.
Amy looks forward to continuing to expand her expertise across diverse and complex infrastructure projects, collaborating with professionals from various backgrounds and skills, and integrating environmental engineering principles and experiences into future opportunities and projects.
