We recently completed the renewal and replacement of the Braeside Tanks at Braeside Pump Station. This upgraded critical asset will facilitate coal washing, provide a consistent water supply to nearby accommodation camps, as well as reduced future pipe scaling upstream of the pump station.
Pensar’s scope of works included the construction of two panel tanks with associated DN500 ductile iron pipework, a new in-tank diffuser system and blower install to aerate the bore water, four major cut ins to a DN450 AC main fed by 16 bores, in addition to two major cut overs to keep the pump station operational during works. This project further included structural steel accessways, electrical and instrumentation componentry, and controls system refinement and commissioning to assist the facility’s operators in supplying water based on everchanging stakeholders’ demand.
