As Pensar marks 25 years, I reflect on our journey of growth, resilience, and a commitment to excellence along with our evolution from a two-person operation into a 300-strong team, delivering complex infrastructure projects across Australia.
During my earlier career in infrastructure, mining and property with some of Australia’s largest construction companies, such as the former Leighton Contractors, I was privileged to learn from inspiring leaders and businesses driven by a commitment to quality, honesty and reliability. I was also keen to try something challenging on my own and to create a culture that reflected my own style and beliefs.
From early landmark projects like Sinnathamby Boulevard to major upgrades at Brisbane Airport and the Molendinar Water Treatment Plant, to more recent large scale complex infrastructure projects including the Wamuran Irrigation Scheme and Mt Crosby Critical Electrical Infrastructure renewal, we have built a reputation for tackling challenges head-on. Our customers always get what we promise, with no surprises.
A pivotal moment in Pensar’s story came in 2023 when we were acquired by RSK, a global leader in environmental, engineering, and technical services. This strategic move positioned Pensar for even greater influence, providing access to expanded expertise, resources, and opportunities in sustainability-focused infrastructure.
Looking ahead, we will continue to explore opportunities of expanding on our capabilities. We are driven by a culture of collaboration and problem-solving and people come to work each day not just for the interesting projects but for the mateship and shared purpose gained along the way.
In 2025 with a continual eye on the future, we are ready for making even greater impacts in the decades to come. We have grown impressively over the past year. It’s the most substantial growth since starting the business in 2000 and is the result of many years of delivering successful projects and building our relationships and reputation. We are passionate about responding to the growing needs of our clients and continuing to do and be better as we build on the success of our projects.
It’s incredible to see how far Pensar has come in 25 years. It’s a credit to the people who make Pensar what it is today, and I am so motivated and excited about what is yet to come.
