2022 TRACTION CEO Bike Build

Patrick Newell, our Director of Water recently participated in the annual Traction CEO Bike Build. This annual fundraising initiative enables Traction’s young mentors to  showcase their skills and get on the tools to lead participating CEO’s and executives through the process of building a bike. All bikes built on the day were donated to TRACTION Bike Build programs.  Such a rewarding and inspiring experience to be part of the bike building action, and empowering to know that an impressive $146,362.00 raised on the day is going directly to supporting scholarships for 60 more young people to participate in future TRACTION programs across South East Queensland. 

TRACTION is a homegrown social enterprise that seeks to engage and empower young people in need. It provides a safe, inclusive, action-based environment where vulnerable youth build self esteem, find a sense of belonging, discover their potential, and create their own future. Participants have the opportunity to restore and re-purpose disused bicycles in a supportive, hands-on learning environment. Learn move > https://traction.community/
